Samual has shown successfully in hunter classes at West Palm Beach, Fl., Manitoba Royal Winter Fair & the Ontario A circuit. His attitude is extraordinary; he rarely remembers he is a stallion- due to his gentle, easy-going and loveable disposition. His beauty and elegance help to make him a favorite among trainers, grooms & fans. Samual is a treasure - both for his style, movement and jump and for the outstanding traits he continues to pass to his offspring as a sire. His foals continue to win numerous championships throughout North America - in the hunter ring, dressage, young classes for jumpers & eventing. Samual is one-of-a-kind stallion and we are very proud of him.

Samual's Obituary: I apologise for not updating Samual's page much earlier. I just haven't been ready to make this statement. On May 13, 2009; we lost our beloved Samual. Since early morning, he had been in his paddock for his playtime. He went back to his box stall shortly after lunch. At 4:30 - "supper time" - we found Sammy in his stall; laying completely flat - peaceful & contented without a straw out of place. Doug thought that he was just being lazy & having a big sleep - which he often did. However, Samual had already passed away. He was gone. His autopsy showed that he had died of internal bleeding from an abdominal aneurism. There were no warning signs. We went into shock. Our vet suspects that Sam felt a bit light headed, he laid down & went to sleep; never knowing that he wouldn't wake up. We will forever miss Samual - he was a wonderful friend & always made us proud of him. We will cherish his fillies that are now producing fabulous foals that carry his pedigree, his style & quality & his outstanding disposition.

We also have 2 young stallions by Samual. They are both so much like him; disposition, beauty & style. Son of a Gun is now 3 yrs old. He will have 3 foals this year & many foals for 2012.

Samual's Legacy was Sammy's last foal born and he shows exceptional potential as a sport horse and as a stallion. We have had a very difficult time recovering from Samual's death. We miss him so much. His resting place is in our backyard and eventually, we intend to place a headstone on his grave. We talk to him all the time. He was a special horse, a member of our family & he will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you.
